Helium Extraction Unit For Scientific Experiment
Product Description
Fullcryo Helium Extraction(from LNG/Natural Gas)
There is no impact on the production of existing LNG plants.
Suitable for LNG plants of 500,000 cubic meters and above.
Reduce operating costs of existing LNG plants.
The economy is good, and the investment recovery time is short.
Most commercial helium is extracted from natural gas because certain natural gas fields contain significant amounts of helium (usually between 0.3% and 1.9%). Fullcryo’s HEU, suitable for extracting helium from BOG in an LNG plant with a capacity over 500,000 Nm3 /d , the helium extraction has a power consumption of less than 25 kwh/Nm3 ; output helium gas product has a purity of over 99.999%.
Product Details
Helium plays a crucial role in scientific experiments, particularly in the fields of low-temperature physics and other areas requiring extreme conditions.
1. Cryogenic Cooling:
- Liquid Helium: Liquid helium is the coldest known coolant, capable of reaching temperatures close to absolute zero (-273.15°C or 0 Kelvin). It is used in superconductivity research, low-temperature physics experiments, and quantum mechanics research.
- Superfluid Helium: Below 2.17 Kelvin, liquid helium transitions into a superfluid state, exhibiting unique properties like frictionless flow and other quantum characteristics, making it essential for studying quantum liquids and macroscopic quantum phenomena.

2. Particle Accelerators and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI):
- Helium is used to cool the superconducting magnets in particle accelerators and MRI machines, maintaining their superconducting state and enhancing the performance and precision of the equipment.
3. Cosmic Ray and Particle Physics Experiments:
- In some particle detectors, helium is used as a detection medium, helping to identify and analyze the behavior and properties of high-energy particles and cosmic rays.
Helium is an indispensable tool in scientific experiments. Its unique physical properties make it the ideal choice for many high-precision, high-demand experiments.
