1. Definition and Function

An LNG transport semi-trailer is mainly used for the long-distance and large-capacity transportation of LNG. It can safely and efficiently transport LNG from receiving stations, liquid plants to end customers, playing a crucial role in the LNG supply chain.

2. Structural Features

◆Double-layer Vacuum Insulated Tank

The tank of the LNG semi-trailer usually adopts a double-layer stainless steel structure, with a vacuum insulation layer between the inner and outer layers. This design can effectively reduce heat conduction, ensuring that LNG is stably stored at a low temperature of -162°C and reducing the volatility of boil-off gas (BOG).

◆High-strength Support Frame

The tank is fixed to the semi-trailer chassis through a high-strength steel frame. This not only ensures the ability to withstand dynamic loads and vibrations during transportation but also reduces the vehicle's own weight, thereby improving transportation efficiency.

◆Multi-axle Chassis Design

Commonly configured with a 3-axle or 4-axle chassis, it uses air suspension or leaf spring suspension to ensure driving stability and load-bearing capacity. Some high-end models are equipped with an automatic inflation and deflation system to adapt to different road conditions.
